Counter
This project will be building a fitted wood case for a Para FAL and 6 mags.
The first step is to figure out the layout of the contents then get some basic
measurements. The lumber being used is called craft lumber and I get it at Lowes. It
comes in pine and a few other woods. There is a selection of widths and thicknesses. I
use 3/8" thick for the frame and 1/2" for the gun support and handle retainers, and 1/4" x
1" for the bottom skids and hinge protectors / top stop. The top and bottom is either door
skin or 1/4" hardwood plywood.
