The next step is to drill the holes for the firing pin extension retaining pin and the firing
pin extension. The retaining pin hole must be drilled first.
This step is a critical operation, the holes must be drilled straight and reamed.
You will need a .120' drill bit and  .1247" dowel pin reamer for the retaining pin hole
and a .170" drill bit  and .189" reamer for the firing pin extension hole. You will need new
good quality cobalt drills for these holes as the material is hard.  Be sure to use a good
cutting fluid when drilling and reaming.

Lay out the holes for the pin as shown in the photo, the center of the hole is . 845" up
from the bottom of the carrier and in .813" from the upper rear.
Set the carrier up then drill and ream the pin hole.
Next locate the firing pin extension hole, it is up .948" from the bottom
of the carrier and centered on the upper portion of the carrier. Drill the hole
with a .170" drill bit and ream it with a .189" reamer. It must be reamed to
provide free operation for the firing pin extension.
Set the carrier up to drill, it must be clamped vertically and firmly so
the hole comes out straight. The material is hard so use a good sharp bit
with cutting fluid. Drill & ream the hole.
