About ProjectGuns
ProjectGuns is an educational reference about firearms, ammunition, optics, archery, hunting and wildlife, written for readers in the United States and Canada. We explain how things work, compare them using published specifications, and point you to the official rules that apply where you live and hunt.
We are not a store. We do not sell firearms, ammunition or accessories, and we do not host listings, sales or transfers.
ProjectGuns is operated by Niche Solutions, LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company.
How every page is made
- Each page starts from a brief that says what readers need to know.
- We collect sources first: manufacturers, government agencies, standards bodies such as SAAMI, museums and established reference works.
- Every important statement is recorded in a fact ledger together with the source passage that supports it.
- Before publication every claim is checked against its source. Statements no source confirms are removed.
- A named editor reviews and approves each page. Nothing is published automatically.
How we use AI
We use AI tools to help research topics, draft text and create illustrations. AI never has the final word: claims are checked against their sources and a person approves every page. Pages drafted with AI help say so under the title, and AI-generated pictures are labeled as illustrations. Technical diagrams are drawn by hand so that they are accurate.
Laws and hunting regulations
Laws and hunting rules differ by country, state, province and season, and they change. We link to the official agency and show when we last checked, but the official source is always the authority. Please confirm with it before you hunt, buy, carry or travel with a firearm.
Independence
We do not accept payment from manufacturers or retailers for coverage, and our pages contain no affiliate links.
