Flying With a Firearm in the U.S. and Canada
In the United States and Canada, official aviation sources say firearms do not go in carry on baggage. TSA, CATSA, and Transport Canada describe checked baggage procedures involving unloaded firearms, declaration to the airline, and locked hard sided containers. Airline, ammunition, destination, and border rules still need to be confirmed for the exact trip.
