Our sources and images

We write our own text, cite our sources, quote only short passages, and use images we created, licensed, or are otherwise permitted to use. AI illustrations on our site are generated for us and are not copies of existing photographs.

If you believe content on projectguns.com infringes your copyright, send a written notice to contact@projectguns.com with the subject "Copyright notice". Under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. 512), the notice must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature, as the owner or a person authorized to act for the owner.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed.
  3. The address of the page on our site and a description of the material, precise enough for us to find it.
  4. Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.

We will review the notice promptly, remove or disable access to the material where appropriate, and tell anyone affected.

Counter notice

If material you provided was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter notice to the same address with: your signature; identification of the material and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your name, address and telephone number; and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or, outside the United States, any judicial district in which ProjectGuns may be found) and to accept service from the person who sent the original notice.

Canada

Canada uses a notice and notice system under the Copyright Act. Copyright owners in Canada may send notices to the same address, and we will handle them as the Act requires.

Repeat infringement

When accounts and user contributions become available, we will end the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe copyright.

Misuse

Knowingly misrepresenting that material infringes, or that it was removed by mistake, can make you liable for damages. If you are unsure whether material infringes, consider getting legal advice first.
