Corrections policy

How to report a mistake on ProjectGuns and how we check, correct and record changes.

By RaiS. Reviewed by RaiS. Published . 1 min read.

Research and drafting were assisted by AI. RaiS checked the facts against the sources below and approved this page.

We work hard to be accurate, and we fix mistakes quickly and openly.

How to report a mistake

Write to contact@projectguns.com with the page address, what you believe is wrong and, if you can, a source that shows the correct information. Reports about laws, hunting regulations or safety are handled first.

What we do

We check the report against the original sources and any new evidence. If the page is wrong, we correct it, record the change in the page's history and update the date shown under the title. Significant corrections, those that change a fact a reader may have relied on, are noted at the end of the page with the date of the correction.

Regulations change

Hunting seasons, bag limits and firearm laws change, sometimes during a season. Our pages link to the official agency and show when we last checked. If an official source changes, the official source is correct and our page will be updated.

What we do not change

We do not remove accurate information because someone dislikes it, and we do not accept payment to change a page.
